High on Life: The Art of Being’s transformational vacation

High on Life is the Art of Being's annual vacation retreat in Hawaii. The programme is a synthesis of time spent exploring, sharing, meditating and celebrating together at our place of residence, and time out enjoying the gifts of our surroundings. Usually about 3 weeks long, it is set always in a place where the beauty of nature calls us to restore or deepen our friendship with our own inner nature and with our Earth, and where we feel welcome, protected and free to explore all that becomes possible in the circle of our community together.

The next High on Life will be held on Maui at a beautiful retreat center on the north shore, December 28th 2006- January 18th, 2007. It will be led by Alan Lowen & Jan Day.

In 2008 High on Life will include a The Gift of Being and a two part Art of Being® Tantra seminar.

Sex and love are the most powerful forces in our intimate relationships. Designed for both couples and single people, the Art of Being Tantra workshop led by Alan Lowen and Jan Day has restored emotional and spiritual wellness to many people on their way to learning their own art of loving. The Hawaii retreat, High on Life, held on Maui, opens the door to the experience of sacred sex. It is both a wonderful singles vacation and an opportunity for couples to bring more awareness and beauty to their intimate relationship.

Since the late 1980s High on Life has been held each year, several times at The Art of Being’s Hawaiian island home on Maui, and also in Bali, in Thailand, on the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico and on the jungle coast of Costa Rica. Often a summer High on Life takes place during August on Maui, and in winter it is held in January-February here or elsewhere in the tropics, where the ocean and the land around us are pristine and inviting and where the climate invites us to shed our winter woollies and open our bodies to air and sun and water, our hearts to the warmth of friendship and our souls to the infinite source
